Rainbows do disappear

Hi

Rainbows are so pretty, a pastel hairband across the tresses of the sky.
The promise of a rainbow - colours redolent of memories sequestered away which appear now and then.

Children are little rainbows in one's life. They bring colour into the drab grey existence of old age. They sparkle so and their company brings cheer.

My grandchildren light up my life with their innocence, their laughter, their questions and their unquestioning belief in what their elders have to say.
They are such a joy. It makes you re-live your youth again, you are given a second chance to enjoy their energy, their spontaneity, which you never had with your own children as you were too busy trying to eke out a living just so that there are 3 meals a day and books for school.

So enjoy your grandchildren if you have any. Live and savour your moments with them cos they will never come round a third time. Maybe someone out there can share their experiences??
